• It is an uniue procedure of eliminating the dosha from the body through oral route, inducing vomiting. It is very effective for Kapha dosha elimination.
• Forceful expulsion of undigested pitta and kapha through upper (oral) route is known as Vamana.
• Snehana (oil massage externally and internal – ghee orally), Swedana (heat treatments) fallowed by induction of vomiting and subjected to Sansarjana karma (diet plan); these whole procedure is called Vamana karma.
• It is not only stomach washing, it is whole body cleansing process and totally different from Kunjal kriya in yoga.
